​Established in 2020, Sisters 1st FRC Team 8513  is continuing on the path of success. With — team members, our name honors that we are the 1st all female team in New Jersey in the FIRST Mid-Atlantic district. Following in the footsteps of our school’s founder, Saint Lucy Filipini, Sisters 1st offers an environment centered around faith, trust, and sisterhood, while learning to apply new skills and technologies that ideally inspire young women everywhere to pursue careers in STEM. The Mission of FIRST is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor - based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills that inspire innovation, and that foster well - rounded life capabilities including self - confidence, communication, and leadership.
